Joey Smith - Co-Founder Prior to starting iTech Atlanta in 2003, Joey worked for Transdyn Controls as a Senior Systems Engineer where he designed and supported information technology, communications, computer systems, and systems integration for large-scale intelligent transportation and environmental control systems.
Joey graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1997 with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. During his term at Georgia Tech, Joey focused his studies on Computer systems, Communications, and Manufacturing Control Systems. He worked with a wide range of employers as a consultant throughout his educational career forging relationships at various levels in a wide range of industries including Manufacturing, Retail, Business, Industrial Processing, and Information Technology.
As an avid technology thrillseeker, Joey has been heavily involved in various areas of computer technology since 1981. Those areas include computer systems, computer automation, home integration, information technology, and software programming.
Matthew DeLoach - Co-Founder Prior to starting iTech Atlanta in 2003, Matthew worked as a Systems Engineer for Transdyn Controls. As a Systems Engineer Matthew helped design, implement, and maintain a wide array of Information Technology systems. This included hardware from desktop PC's and x86 servers to external RAID enclosures and tape libraries, as well as a myriad of software packages including various Windows server platforms, databases, and backup software. In addition to his System Engineering functions, Matthew was responsible for Transdyn's Atlanta and New Jersey office networks including all firewall, file, print, email, anti-spam, domain authentication, and anti-virus services, as well as all desktops and laptops.
Matthew graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1998 with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering . He also received a Certificate in Industrial/Organization Psychology from Georgia Tech's School of Psychology .
